We have always been drawn to and taken inspiration from the beautiful landscape that is home to living on the West Coast, and when N + C suggested taking the family boat out on the water in search of some cliffs on Gambier Island to watch the sunset for their engagement session, we almost fainted with excitement. One of the most common questions we are asked when assisting our couples with planning and coordinating their engagement session is ‘where should take our photos’ and while we take pride in our growing list of beautiful local spots, It was the cliffs of Gambier Island and the stunning provincial park in Halket Bay that will stand out as being perhaps the most beautiful west coast engagement session location we have ever adventured to.

This stunning sunset engagement session at West Vancouver’s Whytecliff Park is the perfect reminder of how incredible evening engagement sessions on the west coast can be.

There is nothing more quintessentially West Coast than a couples session on the beach in Tofino BC under a bed of moody clouds as the tide is rolling out towards the horizon. It really is impossible to make a statement like this, but this afternoon might very well be one of our all time favourites over the past many years of photographing couples. We were lucky to join these two beautiful humans for both their engagement session and their wedding, so it seemed fitting that we would quite literally crash their honeymoon in what we can only describe as being the most beautiful spot on planet earth, Tofino.

Golden hour engagement sessions at Pitt Lake are truly second to none. When we started chatting with Jami + Matt about their session, they knew immediately that they wanted a beautiful beautiful west coast backdrop and some stunning evening lighting.

We have seen many sights through our journey in wedding photography, but its not every day we have the opportunity to hop a plane and travel several hours north into the middle of nowhere Northern BC for sake of celebrating love in all its beauty.

It should come as no shock that we are always on the hunt for the perfect remote locations to explore with our beautiful couples, and for Andrew + Hayley we could think of no better place than Alouette Lake in Golden Ears Provincial Park.

Pitt Meadows, BC is home to many incredible locations that we frequently visit for engagement sessions, but none more beautiful than Pitt Lake, and we could think of no better location for Taylore + Trevor. Its no shock that we are always after a beautiful sunset or even a perfectly overcast day because truly those elements are the secret sauce behind incredible photography.

There really is no better place to photograph a stunning sunset engagement than Pitt Lake in Pitt Meadows, BC. Golden hour down by the lake is like a gift from the photography gods and the beautiful golden hour vibes we received for Jean + Sydney’s engagement session was nothing short of perfection.
