Church and State Winery is the absolute perfect wedding venue located in Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC. Vancouver Island is home to many beautiful venues, but If you’re searching for a beautiful venue complete with an outdoor tree view ceremony space, access to a vineyard, delicious food and no shortage of beautiful little areas for portraits, Church and State Winery is the venue for you!
Mark + Rachael are two of the coolest cats you will ever meet. Seriously, the coolest. We were fortunate to travel to Kelowna for their engagement session this past spring, and to beautiful Vancouver Island for their wedding in the fall. We feel blessed to live and work in Vancouver, but we feel even more fortunate to have access to so many nearby areas for work. We really cannot complain about living and working in the PNW. Those of you who know us know that any opportunity we are presented with to visit the island is welcomed with open arms. When Mark + Rachael told us they were saying ‘I do’ at Church and State we were over the moon excited and 100% on board for the adventure.
Mark + Rachael’s wedding began on a beautiful September morning. We joined the beautiful bride and her leading ladies for some getting ready moments before making our way to the Brentwood Bay Resort for a memorable first look. After seeing each other for the first time, we made our way back to the venue for the beautiful outdoor ceremony and some family photos. One of our favourite elements of Church and State Winery is that there is no shortage of little areas off the path to explore for photos. Mark + Rachael’s wedding was very sunny and we found some beautiful shaded tree areas on the venue’s property that resulted in some of our favourite bridal portraits from the entire season! Once the sun began to fall we walked around the property and of course the vineyard for some amazing portraits before walking into the reception and partying the night away.
The 2018 wedding season brought us to so many incredible new venues and allowed us the opportunity to meet and connect with so many unbelievable humans. Mark + Racheal’s Church and State Winery wedding was without question a highlight to our year and we are so thankful to have built a friendship with them both.
