Bryn and Nicole were married at the Inn at Laurel Point in beautiful Victoria BC. With Victoria being the city where they first met, i'm sure everyone would agree with me in saying that it holds a special spot in their hearts.
Nicole has played arguably one of the most influential rolls in my life over the past several years. We connected in first year of University and now, almost 9 years later, I would consider her one of my closest friends and someone I turn to for advice and comfort. After living with one another for a total of 4 years, I would say we have grown very close and being provided the opportunity to join them at their wedding in such an intimate fashion leaves me feeling extremely lucky. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bryn for a total of 4 years now. He is a free spirit with heart the size of a mountain. He takes each day as a new adventure and values the experiences life presents him with above everything else. Most importantly, he has a great deal of love for Nicole.
Bryn and Nicole were married on a wonderfully sunny Saturday afternoon in front of their friends and family. We spent the morning capturing some moments of the ladies and gents getting ready before venturing out for a memorable first look and a couple of photo locations with the bridal party. After adventuring around Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Road and St. Anne's Academy, we made our way back to the hotel for a brief break before the ceremony. After their emotional "I do's" and some photos with the families we settled in at the hotel for dinner and the reception.
One of my favourite elements of wedding photography is being afforded the opportunity to get to know our clients' friends and family. Time at the reception dedicated to speeches is something I always look forward to at each wedding for this very reason. I love listening to everyone's stories and how their individual experiences helped shape their relationship with the happy couple. Bryn and Nicole's reception was no different. There truly was not one single dry eye in the house that evening as each new speaker told tales of the special bond that Bryn and Nicole share.
