Last summer, we had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at a private property in Sunpeaks, BC. The stunning backdrop of the mountains made for the perfect setting for this special day.

There is no more perfect location for an engagement session than the streets of downtown Vancouver in the spring. The combination of the city’s unique historic architecture, seaside skyline and blooming flowers made for the most beautiful setting for Kim + Kevin’s engagement photos.

Located in the middle of one of Vancouver’s most sought after landmarks, Vandusen Botanical Gardens, Shaughnessy Restaurant is the perfect venue to host a beautiful wedding. The romantic atmosphere of Shaughnessy Restaurant provided the most stunning backdrop for this incredible wedding day.

We had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful fall wedding at the historic Cecil Green Park House near UBC in Vancouver BC, and the historic mansion provided a stunning backdrop for the couple’s incredible day. 

There are few venues as special as Brix and Mortar in the heart of Yaletown in the middle of downtown Vancouver, and this beautiful and modern black tie wedding might just be our favourite one we have ever photographed in that incredible space.  It was love at first sight for us when we first sat down and zoomed with Peter and Adanma.  Their love for one another is second to none, their energy is unmatched and their effortless ease towards life is something we have never seen before.  Never have we been so fortunate to work along side such warm and beautiful souls, and this wedding was truly one that we will never ever forget.

There are no shortage of locations to consider for your engagement session, but if you’re looking for an uninterrupted ocean skyline, beautiful views of the Lions Gate Bridge and unbelievable sunsets, Ambleside Park in North Vancouver might be the perfect location for you.  When Laura + Marcelo first approached us with the idea of exploring Ambleside Park for their engagement session, which was a favourite location for them when walking their dog, we jumped at the opportunity and it could not have been more special.

This beautifully rainy, modern and stunning fall wedding at the Loft at Earls Yaletown in Vancouver BC is proof that it truly is good luck to see a few rain clouds during a wedding day, and that embracing Plan B is nothing to be upset about. We would be lying if we said we never wished for clear skies and warm weather when we show up to photograph a wedding. The truth is, there are a lot of wonderful things about beautiful weather, but this day is the reminder we needed to embrace the elements and trust our creative approach when finding beauty and magic on a rainy wedding day in the heart of Vancouver.

For years as a photographer here in Vancouver, we have run away from photographing in the city and taking our clients on adventures throughout downtown, but this rainy urban downtown Vancouver engagement session is proof that even in the wettest of conditions, there is magic to be found in every corner of this beautiful city.
