The connection these two humans share is like nothing we have ever seen before, and when they decided they wanted their engagement session to be relaxed and effortless, we could think of no better plan than to take a beautiful sunset stroll through their neighbourhood in downtown Vancouver.

This romantic, modern, beautifully emotional and detail oriented, sunset wedding at North Vancouver’s Wallace Venue was easily one of the most stunning wedding days we have ever photographed here at Isle + Oak. The Wallace Venue in North Vancouver is the perfect location to host a wedding day. The beautifully industrial, yet innately modern aesthetic of the space beautifully compliments any soft details with it’s stunning natural light. The mixture of outdoor and indoor space allows for the most incredible flow of a wedding day and we can honestly say there was no better location for C + K to host their guests.

Without question one of our most memorable evenings this past season has been helping these two beautiful humans celebrate and when they mentioned that UBC held a special place in their hearts, we immediately knew there would be no better spot for a stunning sunset engagement session then the stunning campus and beautiful beaches home to UBC in Vancouver.

This beautifully rainy, modern and stunning fall wedding at the Loft at Earls Yaletown in Vancouver BC is proof that it truly is good luck to see a few rain clouds during a wedding day, and that embracing Plan B is nothing to be upset about. We would be lying if we said we never wished for clear skies and warm weather when we show up to photograph a wedding. The truth is, there are a lot of wonderful things about beautiful weather, but this day is the reminder we needed to embrace the elements and trust our creative approach when finding beauty and magic on a rainy wedding day in the heart of Vancouver.

Like many couples during the pandemic, K + A were separated for many months by border closures and government restrictions, and when they emailed us of their plan to finally reunite with a anniversary session, we could think of no better location to explore than the oceanside cliffs of West Vancouver’s Lighthouse Park.
