Josip + Katelin’s Pitt Lake engagement was one of the most memorable Pitt Meadows sessions we have ever photographed. Pitt Meadows is home to so many beautiful views but none more special than those of the mountains along the dykes. They have quickly become one of our favourite areas to explore for engagement sessions.
When we sat down with Katelin + Josip for the first time over coffee we knew we would be fast friends. They are wonderfully relaxed, easy going and so incredibly kind. They share an effortless connection, and in the world of wedding photography there are few things more important than that. As if that wasn’t enough, they were planning the most beautiful celebration and their vision for the wedding was unbelievable. We are so damn lucky to be celebrating along side them this season.
For their engagement session, they settled on taking an adventure to our favourite little spot near Pitt Lake. There really are very few areas quite like it. We woke up on the morning of their engagement session to find that Mother Nature was forecasting less than cooperative weather for our sunset session and with a last minute change of plans, we found ourselves heading out to the lake bright and early the next day to catch the morning light on the mountains. We exchanged beers for coffees, and the result was literally like something out of a movie because the stars aligned and HOLY CRAP it was so beautiful. The morning light on the snow dusted mountains perfectly complimented the empty roadway. We couldn’t have visioned a better backdrop to celebrate Katelin + Josip.
