The 2018 wedding season brought us to many new places and among them was a beautiful wedding celebrating Alex + Charisse at Poplar Grove Winery in Penticton, BC. We’ve been struggling to formulate words to express just how lucky we feel to have played a role celebrating along side Alex + Charisse. Not only are they beautiful humans (inside and out), but their wedding was equally beautiful and we feel so fortunate to have documented this chapter in their journey together. Truly, their wedding was nothing short of unforgettable.
Wedding photography in Penction is absolutely beautiful! Their wedding day began on an unusually cold and wet Okanagan morning. Lucky for everyone, Mother Nature worked hard to clear away the rain for the vast majority of the day just in time for the beautiful first look. After some casual getting ready moments and a whole lot of laughter, we brought the beautiful bride to meet her groom at one of Penticton’s most unique backdrops. It was an emotional first look, we all cried and we certainly will never forget a second of it. After their first look, we drove up Mount Munson to meet the bridal party overlooking the absolutely s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g Okanagan Valley. The view, the company, the entire day, everything was completely perfect. After the afternoon of photos we made our way to the venue for the ceremony and of course the incredible party that lasted well into the night.
Its wedding days like Alex + Charisse’s that make us so proud of what it is we do. Yes their day was beautiful and elegantly styled, but above everything we had the pleasure of documenting two humans who are so completely perfect for one another. While you will never hear us complain about the beautiful flowers or the absolutely perfect dress, their connection and bond will be what we forever remember as being what made this day everything it was. We are blessed to call them both our friends and not just our clients, and we are so honoured to have played a roll.
